We are currently looking on behalf of one of our important clients for an Electronic Hardware Design Engineer. The role is a permanent position based Bern Canton & comes with some home office allowance.

 

Your Role:

 

  • Develop Electronics Solutions for customers, projects & a new product portfolio.
  • Design, implement, document & verify Electronic HW for new & existing control systems.
  • Work on international projects & participate in risk & safety assessments within interdisciplinary teams.
  • Design prototypes & test infrastructure & automation solutions, implement them, take over technical product support across the entire product life cycle & support with production, assembly & commissioning work.
  • Plan & carry out standard tests in-house, in external test laboratories & on customer premises.

 

Your Skills:

 

  • At least 3 years of relevant professional experience in Electronic Hardware Engineering & very proficient Electronic Development skills.
  • Skilled & experienced in the Development of Industrial Control Electronics (CAN, BLDC, ACDC, EMC).
  • Good Soldering skills.
  • A knowledge of one or more PCB design tools (OrCAD, Altium, Mentor) is considered advantageous.
  • Any experience in Python, C/C++ or similar programming languages is a plus.
  • Ideally experienced in Motor Control.
  • Experience in Obsolescence Management is desirable.
  • Preferably experienced in the Transportation Industry, Industrial Environments, Safety-Critical Industries & Series Production.

 

Your Profile:

 

  • Completed University Degree in the field of Electronics, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science or similar.
  • Enthusiastic to cooperate within Interdisciplinary Project Teams.
  • Fluent in English (spoken & written). Any additional language skills in German or French are considered very advantageous.
